This is a truly special and unique season in the history of our organization, when we have been blessed with the opportunity to expand our services for women and children in our community suffering from poverty and homelessness. I am delighted to report that we have completed the debt-free acquisition of a 50 unit apartment complex called Grace Village. With this additional capacity, we will be able to provide a safe, stable, and loving community for 200 people to begin the process of rebuilding their lives. Thank you for participating in our Refuge of Hope Campaign.

The Grace Village Community Center

We look forward to shifting our focus to the next project to enhance Grace Village—bringing the Community Center to life. The Community Center will be a 10,000 sq ft meeting space to add significant on-site resources to this supportive housing community. These resource will include: case management, meeting rooms, classrooms, daycare, and an outdoor children’s play area.

“One-third of our homeless population are women and children. They are in severe crisis, but we simply have no suitable space to shelter them.” —Melody Alvarado, Director of Women’s Programs

“I don’t know what my life would be like today if I hadn’t come to CityTeam… transformation happens here. I was able to walk through a lot of challenges and clean up a lot of wreckage… I’m so grateful.” — Jaime, former CityTeam resident
