As a CityTeam Child Sponsor your faithful generosity help provide for the basic needs  of disadvantaged children in
San Jose area and the Delaware Valley by giving them the opportunity to break the cycle of poverty and improve
their communities. Your compassion as a Child Sponsor tells children and their parents the story of God’s
love and provides them with a support system they can count on.
Our Program is unique in that it does not create dependency, but instead opportunities for needy children to
learn and grow. Children along with their families who participate in our programs receive counseling and
mentorship that encourages them to make wise decisions and give them a brighter future.
MAKING A DIFFERENCE…
More than 13 million children in America live in poverty*,
sleeping in housing projects and rundown hotels, daily suffering
from poor living conditions. Families are barely able to pay the rent,
often hungry and uncertain where their next meal will come from. No child
should have to endure pain like this. Children suffer the cruel effects of
poverty more than anyone else as their social and physical development can
be damaged in these crucial first years of life.
