We remember each and every one of you in prayer, and want to thank you all for your generosity towards those in need.
This Thanksgiving and Christmas season brought us many who had no way to provide holiday dinners or gifts for their children, but thanks to the outpouring of generosity and love from the residents of the Delaware Valley, over 5,000 holiday food boxes were given out that included a turkey and all of the fixin’s to make a feast for those who often have to do without. Over 7,000 toys were given out to the children, plus we were able to share with other agencies who reach children that we never see.
We served a Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve feast in-house for the homeless and underserved, and with the help of dedicated volunteers who chopped and cooked and stirred pots, we made a wonderful meal served on our best “china” that brought cheer to many hearts.
We are humbled by the trust that you have shown us in allowing us to be good stewards of your donations, and we praise God for allowing us to serve others who are in need of things that we so often take for granted.
As we move into the cold months of winter, we ask for your prayers for the poor. Numerous families have to choose between heat and food, and the frigid nights take a heavy toll on the homeless, many of whom are mentally ill and too frightened to stay in shelters. Pray that they will receive the help that they need during these difficult weeks, and that the love and compassion of Christ will be manifested to them in their difficult existence. |
