For His Sake... Please Help Us Restock the Pantry

Since we are just rolling into the summer, you’re probably not even thinking about the Thanksgiving holidays. But here at CityTeam, we have to be. Our staff is already working on plans to feed the large number of hungry and homeless people who will need our help when the holidays come.

With few other resources available, the homeless are increasingly dependent on CityTeam for meals and shelter.
That means our top priority is to replenish our food pantry right away. And we urgently need your help.

With few other resources available, the homeless are increasingly dependent on CityTeam for meals and shelter.

You see, there’s no worse time to have a food shortage than in the weeks before Thanksgiving season. That’s because the fall is usually one of our busiest times of the year with the hungry people in need of food. When the pantry is low on food now, it means it will be touch and go all the way through November.

CityTeam has been through a demanding summer. Contributions were below expectations, and our food inventory has been depleted. We are concerned that we won’t have enough food for the growing number of desperate people who need our help.

Many of those folks are already making agonizing choices between the basic necessities of life – food, shelter, clothing, and medical care. But the compassion of our staff and volunteers can ease the burden by providing a hot, nutritious meal and a safe place to sleep for the night.

For someone who would normally go hungry this provides much-needed hope.

Will you help replenish our pantry?

Your gift today will buy food to fill the aching stomachs of the poorest of the poor in our community. Thank you.
