Imagine you are a child heading back to school this fall without paper, pencils & other necessary supplies.
With the slowing economy and the hike in gas and food prices, many low-income parents are struggling to simply put food on the table. When the new school year starts in the fall, many have to choose between buying food or buying school supplies. This choice often results in children not having the school supplies they need.
Each summer CityTeam gathers backpacks and back-to-school
supplies for children that come from low-income families not able to afford educational
necessities. Starting the school year off on the right foot is important to these children.
