About CityTeam
CityTeam Home > About Us > Programs

CityTeam offers a variety of programs to meet the needs of urban women, men, youth and families. Programs offered vary from one location to another. Learn about the programs offered nearest to you by selecting a city from the menu above.

Rescue Missions
Well known as a place to get a hot meal, a safe night's sleep and a clean change of clothes, the missions faithfully serve the community by providing temporary emergency care while sharing the gospel with the homeless.

Men's Recovery Programs
Because alcoholism and drug addiction are a serious problem among street people, CityTeam operates a comprehensive, long-term residential recovery program. Since its inception in 1983, this innovative program has helped hundreds of men confront the bondage of chemical dependency.

Youth Outreach
Through a combination of youth activities, tutoring, leadership development and parent support groups, CityTeam provides positive alternatives to gangs and drugs. Seeking to build the moral fiber of our youth, CityTeam conducts weekly Bible clubs that introduce inner-city kids to Jesus Christ.

Camp
Inner-city kids who rarely get a chance to escape pressures and violence back home, get a different picture of life at Camp MayMac. Through interaction with caring counselors who act as positive role models, these children find hope and strength to face tomorrow with determination and courage.

Family Programs
Poverty often causes basic necessities to become unaffordable luxuries. So CityTeam gives away quality used clothing, furniture, and secondhand appliances to needy families. This family ministry also distributes holiday food boxes at Thanksgiving and Christmas, and passes out school supplies to needy children each September.

Women's Programs

Heritage Home has a place for abused, abandoned or addicted women who are pregnant and provides a safe home, meals, and counseling in an atmosphere of compassionate care and unconditional love. Started in 1984, the home has provided for the safe arrival of more than 1,000 babies.

Until recently, homeless or addicted women with children could get help but almost always had to give up their children. House of Grace is designed to keep the family unit together while Mom receives counseling, assistance with continued education and life-skills training.

Church Advancement
Responding to the challenges of our multiethnic society, CityTeam equips pastors and lay leaders to expand their ministries. In unchurched communities, CityTeam helps establish new churches by training leaders in evangelism and discipleship in order to reach their neighborhoods with the love and gospel of Jesus Christ.
