About Cityteam
Cityteam is a nondenominational Christian non-profit serving the poor, the homeless, and the lost in local communities in the United States and around the world. Since 1957, Cityteam has been serving people in extreme poverty and helping them transform their lives, their families and their communities where they live. Today with the help of volunteers and donors, Cityteam is impacting the lives of over 500,000 people each year just in the United States and helping hundreds of the thousands of lives in partnership with local leaders in 48 other countries around the world.
Cityteam compassionately reaches out to one person at a time to help meet their immediate needs and introduce them to the hope that only God can provide - so they can truly transform their lives, their families and their communities.
Our mission at Cityteam is to passionately transform the lives of individuals, their families and communities locally and around the world. Cityteam trains and equips local believers to meet felt needs, engage families with the Bible, and establish communities of baptized believers. The heart of God is revealed as the hands of His people meet the needs of the Lost who are living in poverty or struggling with addiction. Often hurting people need to feel God’s love in a tangible way before they can truly hear and understand it.
Our ministry expresses God’s love in many compassionate ways; a nourishing meal, a safe place to sleep, medical aid, emergency food supplies, education, counseling or a welcoming smile. According to God’s Word, we are also called to make disciples that live out that same compassion and love to others and make disciples that also love and obey God. This is where real transformation takes place in the lives of individuals, families and communities that we serve. When our staff, volunteers, and donors love and obey God, love our neighbors and teach others to repeat the process then the impact multiples over and over again, transforming the lives of hurting people in communities around the globe each day.

Cityteam has been blessed in training and equipping over 600,000 new believers who have started over 18,000 new churches in the past six years. Disciples are now mentoring others to rapidly reproduce and become disciples.
